Meeting your favorite celebs is not always easy, but there's one way you can get to know them better—by checking out their businesses! Inspired by their passions and what they like to do for fun, these celeb business ventures give you a peek inside their lives beyond the screen. And if you're lucky, you might just spot them in their establishments!
1. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's Barbero Blues
After working on tons of movies and TV shows together (The Hows Of Us, Barcelona: A Love Untold, and Got To Believe to name just a few), Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla have teamed up for an off-screen project: a barbershop called Barbero Blues.
The real-life couple had been thinking about going into business together for a while—it was just a matter of finding the right concept. They landed on the idea of a barbershop since Daniel himself is quite particular about haircuts. "Gusto lang nating i-share 'yon kasi hindi lang naman ako ang ganoon. Maraming mga lalaki na ganoon, medyo maaarte sa gupit," he said. They launched the first branch in October 2019.
It's been a fun learning experience for both of them. They discuss everything from the logo design to the interiors to the services with their business partners: his mom Karla Estrada, her mom Min Bernardo and sister Chrysler, and family friends Ton Lao and Armando Cruz.
The result is a cool-looking shop with industrial gray walls, brick and stone accents, and warm wood furniture and fixtures. At Barbero Blues, customers can expect premium service and ambiance (lighting and music on point!) that Kathryn and Daniel curated themselves.
Visit Barbero Blues at SM North EDSA The Block and SM City Fairview Parkway Building.
2. Kathryn Bernardo's KathNails
Before opening Barbero Blues with Daniel, Kathryn already had her own successful business: the nail salon and spa KathNails. Launched in May 2017, KathNails now has eight branches in Metro Manila and in Rosario, Batangas.
It all started with the actress' fondness for getting her nails done. This act of self-care doubled as bonding time with her Mommy Min. They gave the business venture a shot, and it became a hit among customers.
Kathryn doesn't have a business background, but she's eager to learn and she has her mom to guide her. In August 2018, they started franchising, with the goal of having 30 branches by this year.
KathNails offers hand and foot care, nail art, nail extensions, gel nails, threading, eyelash enhancements, waxing, body scrub, massage therapy, paraffin treatment, and package deals. For little ones (seven years old and below), they offer mani-pedi services and foot spas.

3. Liza Soberano's Hope Wellness Center
Me time for Liza Soberano means going to the spa, which is why she put up Hope Wellness Center. It's named after her real name, yes, but more than that, she chose the word "hope" because it "uplifts the spirit and body. I think it's a very personal word that everybody looks forward to day by day."
In December 2017, Liza and her partners launched the first branch, Hope Hand and Foot Wellness, in Tomas Morato. This branch specializes in hand and foot services because Liza believes these are the most overworked parts of the body.
With business booming, they launched a second branch on the other side of the metro. Hope Wellness Center in Alabang offers more facial and body wellness services, plus the VIP suite with a bathtub—perfect for quality time with your S.O. Both branches can host spa parties and bridal showers.
Liza said, "I think it was easier for me to put up this business because I'm passionate about it and it's something that I personally enjoy." She works closely with partners Joni Lyn Castillo-Pillarano and Aikee Ocampo to offer the best experience to customers. "They know what they're doing and they take care of each and every store. But I'm always a text away," she said. "It's a group effort and we always have to be on the same page."
Hope Hand and Foot Wellness is located at Creekside Square, Tomas Morato, and Hope Wellness Center is located at Westgate Hub, Alabang.
4. Gerald Anderson's The Th3rd Floor
Gerald Anderson's business takes its name after the third floor of his house where he has a gym-slash-sanctuary. It's where he goes whenever he needs to focus or let off some steam. This is the idea behind The Th3rd Floor, which he considers an extension of his own home.
The actor came up with the idea while recovering from a hamstring injury in 2018. He partnered with his friend and Pinoy Big Brother alumni Joe Vargas, who found the location near ABS-CBN. Gerald said he handles the "inspirational side," while Joe takes care of the business side.
The membership gym, which is actually located on the second floor, is decked out with workout machines and equipment. One big draw is the basketball court, which is great for group sessions. The gym offers dance, circuit training, and other classes, which are free for members and open to non-members for a fee.
Since the gym is near ABS-CBN and Gerald had a room built where he could crash between work commitments, you might just get lucky and spot him or his celeb workout buddies.
The Th3rd Floor is located at 120 Don A. Roces Ave, Diliman, Quezon City.
5. Marian Rivera's Flora Vida
Flowers have always sparked joy for Marian Rivera, which is what led her to put up Flora Vida, an online flower shop specializing in preserved arrangements. With the use of a rehydration technique, the flowers seem as fresh as the day they were picked.
Each order is designed and assembled by Marian herself, who learned from world-renowned florist Nicolai Bergmann. The arrangements don't need sunlight or water to thrive, and with proper care, they can last for up to two years.
Marian launched the online shop in April 2017 after her husband, Dingdong Dantes, gave her a very thoughtful Christmas gift in 2016—the Department of Trade and Industry permit for the business.

6. Sam Pinto's Sirena Swimwear and L'Sirene Boutique Resort
Sam Pinto is all about the island life, which is what inspired her to put up a swimwear line and a resort in Baler.
Sirena Swimwear came first—Sam and co-founder Erika Hocson launched the debut collection on the online shop in November 2015. Since then, they've released wave after wave of cute one-piece and two-piece suits.
In March 2017, Sam opened L'Sirene Boutique Resort in the surf capital of Baler. Inspired by her "mermaid" personality, she said, "I learned how to swim first before I learned how to walk, so I'm really a water baby. Plus, there's the surfing too. So it's just a combination of all of those together."
The resort, whose name means "the siren," has 15 rooms for groups of four. They offer surf lessons, beach bonfire services, and of course, Sam's swimwear line.
Check out Sirena Swimwear's online shop and visit L'Sirene Boutique Resort at Reserva, Poblacion, Baler, Aurora.
7. Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo's Litterbucks
As if JenDen couldn’t get any cuter, the couple just opened a cat café cleverly called Litterbucks. At the lounge, you'll spot Jennylyn and Dennis' seven cats snug in their little cubbies, perched on the tree, or exploring the cozy space. Among the cats you'll meet are Gray the Scottish Fold, Sage the Siberian, and Dana the Highland Fold.
To make sure the cats are taken care of, there are rules to follow in the lounge. You'll have to take off your shoes and wash your hands upon entering. No matter how cute the cats are, you can't attack them with cuddles—you'll have to wait for them to deem you worthy of playtime.
For a purrfect afternoon, it's best to make a reservation during the designated hours at the lounge. No need for reservations at the café, where you can drop by for coffee or tea and Jennylyn's Chunky Dough cookies.
Litterbucks is located at 128 Animat Bldg., Maginhawa St., Diliman, Quezon City.
8. Anne Curtis, Karylle, and Spongecola's Rockstar KTV & Restobar
Launched in 2017, Rockstar KTV is a karaoke resto-bar that offers 15 rooms in a variety of sizes for four to 50 people. That means you can easily have an impromptu karaoke night with your friends or host a grand karaoke party for your next college reunion.
Each room has a theme such as the Britney standard suite, Madonna superior suite, and Beyonce suite. Anne's dream is to have a room named after her. She jokes, "'Di ba, nakakatuwa 'yon? Lahat ng sintunado, doon pupunta!"
Rockstar KTV & Restobar is located at 5/F Skypark Garden Area, SM Aura, BGC, Taguig.
