These Are Our Favorite Celebrity ~*Underwater*~ Photoshoots (So Far)

Is it just me, or do underwater photoshoots make you feel the need to sing "Under The Sea" from The Little Mermaid? Lately, it seems like the summer months have led to several celebrity shoots in the pool (or the ocean!), so we rounded up several of our favorites.

1. Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff explored a shipwreck in Bohol.

2. Dimples Romana used the four elements as concepts for her maternity photoshoot.

   
   Actress Dimples Romana has been documenting her third pregnancy in a series of stunning maternity photos, with each concept based on the four elements: Earth, water, wind, and fire. 3. Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff, Solenn Heussaff, and Nico Bolzico went free diving in Palawan.

   
   The BFFs and their husbands made the best of their trip by checking out (in Solenn's words) "an amazing wreck from the second World War." Erwan and Nico Bolzico fought for best (aka most witty) captions, while Solenn Heussaff and Anne went "with the flow" and made a few (fish) friends. Nico even shared a video of their experience!

4. Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert

   
   When these underwater photos were first released, netizens initially thought they were part of Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert's prenup shoot. But actually, the pics were from the actress' maternity shoot. Fun fact: Apparently pregnant women can float in water? According to Sophie, "Kapag buntis ka pala, magfo-float ka. 'Di ka bababa sa water." That must have made the shoot pretty interesting!

5. Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo had an underwater photoshoot to celebrate their engagement.

   
   To celebrate their engagement in 2020, Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo shared photos of their "impromptu photoshoot in the ocean" on Instagram, and the stunning shots were taken by their friend Pernilla Sjöö. We love how Philmar captioned his post "Marrying a mermaid"—so fitting for the happy islander couple!

6. Water babies Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez took it to the next level with an underwater prenup photoshoot.

   
   Shot in El Nido in 2020 by videographer Bob Nicolas, photographer Pat Dy and Team Pat Dy, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez's underwater prenup shoot was ~*incredibly*~ dreamy. Pat shared behind-the-scenes acnedotes on Insta: Apparently, the two "got bitten by small jellyfishes, swallowed water and catered to every request Bob Nicolas and I asked." Despite the challenges, it looks like their efforts paid off!

7. Self-professed "mermaid" Sam Pinto continues to share her passion for free diving on Instagram.

   
   The ocean will always be her "happy place", and based on her Instagram feed it's obvious that the actress-model is living (and loving!) her best life by—and in—the sea. Sam Pinto clearly takes advantage of her "mermaid time"—she looks quite comfortable swiming among the fish and even snapped a pic with a manta ray!
