At 5:11 p.m. on April 22, Luzon was rocked by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake’s epicenter was in Castillejos, Zambales, and the tremblor was felt at Intensity V in San Felipe, Zambales, and parts of Metro Manila.
Several celebs reported their experience of this afternoon’s powerful earthquake, some sharing Instagram Stories from their condominiums, at home, and in ground level.
Wil Dasovich, who was home alone when the earthquake struck, said that he “literally ran” and that “everything was cracking and it was so loud.” He even shared that the earthquake created a crack inside his home.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith was inside a condominium this afternoon and was able to take a video as the earthquake happened. Her video showed the dining room lamps swaying back and forth.
Bianca Gonzalez was alone at the NAIA Terminal 3 waiting to board her flight. Bianca said, “Hope you are all okay wherever you are and send that [“I love you”] text to your loved ones.”
Kapuso actress Bea Binene said that it was the “worst earthquake that I’ve ever experienced.”
Isabelle Daza shared a Boomerang video of her chandelier swinging.
Gretchen Fullido headed outside the ABS-CBN compound after the earthquake struck.
