Chadwick Boseman Has Passed Away Due To Colon Cancer

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has sadly passed away from colon cancer. The official announcement from his Twitter account reads: "It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last four years as it progressed into IV." His documented birthday online is on November 29, 1977, making him 42 years old at the time of his death.

He was already diagnosed while filming his recent movies. The statement adds: "A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy."

Chadwick died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. His other notable acting projects, aside from portraying superhero King T'Challa, include the films 42 (2013) and Get On Up (2014).
