If you haven't seen Chicago Typewriter, you totally should start streaming it now because it's one of the best dramas out there (it's even part of a special K-drama analysis elective in UP Diliman)! In the show, three individuals discover that they're connected to freedom fighters during the Japanese occupation in Korea. There's a *magical* typewriter + you get to see Yoo Ah In and Go Kyung Pyo in ~dapper~ 1930s clothes!
Because we miss them, here's what the Chicago Typewriter cast members are up to these days:
Yoo Ah In (Han Se Joo/Seo Hwi Young)
Yoo Ah In's most recent film is #Alive, where he starred opposite Park Shin Hye. In the film, their characters are survivors of a zombie outbreak who learn to depend on each other in order to...well...stay alive. Yoo Ah In is also set to star in a Netflix original series called Hell. According to Soompi, the show is "set in a society where humans face a supernatural phenomenon that could be a miracle or a curse, and it depicts the human-made hell created to overcome hell-like reality."
Im Soo Jung (Jeon Seol/Ryu Soo Hyun)
Her most recent drama is Search WWW, a series about women who work for the top web portal companies in Korea. In 2018, she also starred in the movie Mothers, which tells the story of a woman whose husband died two years ago and who begins to live with his teenage son from a previous marriage. Get this: She's *might* be starring in a romance film opposite Lee Dong Wook called Single In Seoul!
Go Kyung Pyo (Yoo Jin Oh/Shin Yool)
Go Kyung Pyo will be starring in a drama called Private Lives, where he plays Lee Jung Hwan, a mysterious team manager at a major company. His character is also described as "too perfect to be real" (Via Soompi). The actor, who became super famous because of Reply 1988, was recently part of an adorable mini cast reunion!
Kwak Si Yang (Baek Tae Min/Heo Young Min)
After starring in Chicago Typewriter, he had guest roles in the shows Fight For My Way (2017) and Clean With Passion For Now (2018), and starred in the series Welcome 2 Life (2019). His latest project is called Alice, a sci-fi drama about a detective who discovers that time travel actually exists. Soompi writes that Kwak Si Yang will play the role of Yoo Min Hyuk, "the leader of the team developing the time-traveling machine called Alice."
