No V-Day Plans Yet? Cinema '76 Is Screening Romantic Flicks At This Bookstore

Ah, the month of love. It means January is finally over, and Valentine's day is just around the corner. Regardless of your relationship status on the hearts-filled holiday, it's the perfect season to watch a romantic film. If you've been meaning to watch local films with the right amount of conflict, hugot, and kilig, this Valentine's screening is right up your alley: Cinema '76 is screening rom-coms from TBA Studios at Fully Booked's U-View on February 14 and 15.

I'm Drunk, I Love You (2017)

Screening schedule: February 14, 7 p.m. and February 15, 7 p.m.

Carson (Maja Salvador) has had feelings for best friend Dio (Paulo Avelino) for seven years. Before finally leaving the halls of college, the two go on a trip to La Union to celebrate their youth. As graduation looms near, Carson worries about making it back in time, and wonders if she'll ever get the chance to tell Dio how she truly feels. This film directed by JP Habac also features songs from local acts like Shirebound & Busking, Ebe Dancel, and Parokya ni Edgar.

Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon (2019)

Screening schedule: February 15, 2 p.m.

Best-friends-turned-lovers-turned-exes Isa (Emmanuella Vera) and Sam (Nicco Manalo) reunite five years after their breakup to search for answers. As they figure out the ins and outs of their romantic endeavors, the two also struggle to find their place in each other's lives. As old wounds are torn open, they must conquer past feelings and mistakes in order to move forward.

Write About Love (2019)

Screening schedule: February 14, 10 p.m. and February 15, 4:30 p.m.

Clashing personalities and styles hinder a rom-com writer (Miles Ocampo) and an indie screenwriter (Rocco Nacino) to concoct the perfect script for a compelling love story. The characters (Yeng Constantino and Joem Bascon) they've written have many questions about love, and this compels the two writers to look within themselves and each other to find answers.

Tickets are priced at P200 per screening and may be purchased at the venue during the screening dates.
