Coldplay and BTS recently reunited in New York on September 23, ahead of the release of the two groups' collaboration on the song "My Universe."
On Twitter, the two music powerhouses shared photos of their reunion, with BTS captioning the post with "My Universe crew." The Bangtan Boys even gifted the members of Coldplay a modern hanbok which they were wearing in the group photos.
Following the reunion, Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin gifted Jin his guitar. A fan translation reads Jin's caption as, "The guitar Chris Martin gave as a gift after he finished his concert. My friend who coolly gave it to me when I told him his guitar was awesome. I'm going to keep it as a family heirloom. Thank you, Martin!"
The guitar was signed by Chris and he wrote the words "Jin" and "worldwide handsome," a term used by BTS fans to refer to the singer.
On September 24, Coldplay dropped the lyric video to "My Universe," a song that was co-written and co-performed by BTS. The track is part of the British band's upcoming album Music Of The Spheres that is slated for release on October 15.
The band's label, Parlophone, announced that apart from the lyric video, a documentary will be released on September 26 called Inside My Universe. It will be followed by the release of the song's Supernova7 mix and acoustic version on September 27.
