A theater teacher and his students at A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School in Dallas, Texas, decided that doing their own take on Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars's insanely wonderful "Uptown Funk" video (which you can watch below for comparison) would be the best way to start their 2015.
"We are a project-based school and that means you give the students a project, put them in teams, and they have to come up with solutions," Scot Pankey, the man gyrating front and center in the video above told the Dallas Morning News. "They had three weeks to work on it, then present as a group what they learned."
Pankey is pumped about the feedback. "We had a great time," he said. "I am overwhelmed by the response. I am honored. It's all been very positive."
Of course it's been positive! You are running the most fun school-mandated project of all time, sir. Now give them all A's and a break for the next three weeks.
