Cosmo Online Hunk Markki Stroem: Hot Cowboy In The City

The Pilipinas Got Talent heartthrob turns the heat on full blast with his final set of photos and interview.

If you’ve just spent Holy Week out of town with your family, it’s time to snap back to reality–that is, back to work or summer classes. But, summer in the city shouldn't be as bad as you think, especially if your officemate or classmate is as cute as our April Online Hunk Markki Stroem. Think of it as bringing the out-of-town vibe to the metro--the way our hottie does in his fourth and final set of gorgeous photos.

The 24-year-old crooner has been very candid with Cosmo.ph, gamely answering all our questions, from summer and his passions to women, exes, relationships. If you think you already know him, wait 'til you read the last part of our interview with him: Markki gets even more real. Watch for our behind-the-scenes video of Markki's shoot--which includes footage of him singing (yes, he often broke into song during our interview!).

Tell us about your dream vacation.

My dream vacation is relaxing in some isolated beach, catching some rays with like, a mojito. In Brazil preferably, with a friend, with a few friends, my best friend Jen--she’s one of my closest friends, she loves to travel. So, we’d be just sitting there, relaxing, and staring off into space, doing absolutely nothing. That’s my perfect vacation because that’s the time to release, soak in, understand things in life, and really relax.

Now, tell us about your sizzling summer fantasy.

Me, and if I have a significant other, in some deserted island, relaxing, doing absolutely nothing as I said (laughs). I love to do things, I love to work, I love to really get myself in gear and do the best that I can in everything that I do. But when it comes to vacation, I just chill. I don’t like to go out, I don’t like to drink so much, like party drinking--not my thing. I’m more of a, like you know, maybe just like red wine or a mojito or something, just one beverage is enough to just keep me... Watch the sunset, relax, go to sleep, wake up, get a tan, swim, eat, eat a lot.

I like my stomach, but I’m not gonna say it 'cause it’s not true. The way to my heart is through my, wow, wait let me think about that, wow! Through my ears. Through my ears, in a sense that, I like a good singer as much as the next person. And me, I fall in love with the voice first. So if I hear someone sing amazingly, or I hear someone who has substance, or I hear someone with the passion for whatever it is they wanna do...yeah, the key to my heart is through my ears.

Name one thing you think women should know about men.

They should know that even though we have that tough posterior, we’re all like little teddy bears inside who are looking for someone to hug us or for us to hug and really care for. 'Cause even though we have this wall built up, we still want someone there to really keep us company and maybe clean our clothes--just kidding. I’m just joking! Guys are really not clean, and they’re really nasty dirty people. So I commend the woman I’m with, who will have to live with me, 'cause that’s a tough challenge on it’s own.

What do you like Cosmo girls to remember most about you?

I like them to remember that I’m not just a mestizo kind of guy. I have a bit more up here, that’s why I went to school (laughs). I’m just back here for my passion, I’m back here for my music. If it doesn’t work out, I’m gonna go and do something [else]. Like, pursue my studies, pursue another job. But now, I’m loving it and I’m doing all right. So, why not?

How did you prepare for this Cosmo shoot?

When I found out about this, I said “Holy crap”--sorry for my French. I haven’t been doing cardio for a while, so I’ve got a lot of bilbil. So bad. Even Jeff, my handler, was telling me, “Markki, you’re fat, you’re getting old!” So this whole month, I biked everyday. I did at least one to two hours on the bike, spinning class, and then I lost it. It’s not yet there, but it’s slowly but surely going. I’m happy.
