Aside from her role as Rachel Chu, this Taiwanese-American actress is best known as the totally hilarious Jessica Huang in the sitcom, Fresh Off The Boat. She is also a prominent voice actress in Netflix's family-friendly animated movie, Next Gen, which you can actually watch right now.
Can you believe that Crazy Rich Asians was the first acting role of this dreamy Malaysian model and TV host? Before he took on the role of Nick Young, Henry hosted several travel-themed shows (we love a guy who loves to go on adventures). His latest film, A Simple Favor, is currently showing in Philippine cinemas, and he co-stars alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick.
Boasting an impressive film and modeling career that spans decades, Michelle Yeoh is best known for projects like 2000's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 2005's Memoirs of a Geisha, and 2007's sci-fi Sunshine. Michelle is just as epic IRL as her character, Eleanor Young, and she has the amazing filmography to prove it!
Before making everyone fall in love with her as Astrid, Gemma Chan had a pretty steady career in British television, joining popular series like Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Sherlock, and The It Crowd. Her next role? Minn-Erva in Marvel's upcoming superhero blockbuster, Captain Marvel!
Admit it: Awkwafina was one of the best parts of Crazy Rich Asians! Also known as Nora Lum, this American rapper, activist, and comedian appeared in another 2018 blockbuster ensemble: Ocean's 8. She's also part of the 2018 comedy-drama, Dude, which you can also stream on Netflix.
This Japanese-born model and actress is best known for her on-screen collaborations with sci-fi director, Alex Garland. (PSA: She famously had an awesome dancing sequence with Oscar Isaac in the 2015 movie, Ex Machina.) She also had a couple of minor appearances in familiar movies like La La Land and Beauty and the Beast, but one of her most exciting roles to date—aside from playing Araminta—is the upcoming Netflix sci-fi series, Maniac, with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.
Harry Shum Jr.
Spoiler alert! Former Glee hottie Harry Shum Jr. made a surprise appearance at the end of the movie, hinting at what's to come for the sequel. While you wait for his onscreen return, you can catch him in the series Shadowhunter and dance-themed movies from the late 2000s, like Stomp The Yard, Step It Up 2: The Streets, and Step Up 3D.
