The Philippines has another crown in its hands! Cynthia Magpatoc Thomalla won this year's Miss Eco International beauty pageant, which was held on April 27, 9 p.m. (April 28, 3 a.m., Manila time) at the Cairo Opera House in Cairo, Egypt.
Miss Indonesia was crowned first runner-up; Miss Peru the second runner-up; Miss Vietnam the third runner-up; and Miss Costa Rica the fourth runner-up.

Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann made it to the top 40 of Miss World 2017.

According to the pageant's official Facebook page, "Miss ECO is an international beauty pageant founded by [the] LTCP-UN project. The aim is to [promote] awareness through the theme of Economy & Environment. Miss ECO is organized as a prestigious international event, bringing together representatives of communities and cultures from all over the world; our delegates aim to share their eco, culture, and international network. The main objective of the contest is to market eco-tourism all over the world and promote the principle of agreement that we will save our planet environmentally."
Cynthia is preceded by Amber Bernachi of Canada.
Congratulations, Cynthia! You make us proud!
