2020 is almost over, you guys! We've met a lot of new K-drama cuties along the way, and they've helped us get through some of ~the darkest~ moments of the year. And if you're still looking for more shows to add to your list (we are big supporters of binge-watching), here are eight new dramas that'll be released next month:
1. Cheat On Me If You Can
Release Date: December 3
Where to watch it: Viu
Parasite star Cho Yeo Jeong is "a novelist with a dark side" in this series! Soompi tells us that her character Kang Yeo Joo is "a murder mystery novelist who spends all day thinking up different ways to kill people." She is married to Han Woo Sung (Go Joon), a divorce lawyer who signed a contract with his wife that says, "If you cheat, you die."
2. Lovestruck In The City/City Couple's Way Of Love
Release Date: December
Where to watch it: Netflix
Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won are coming to our small screens! For the drama's first season, entitled My Lovable Camera Thief, Chang Wook is an architect who falls for a "camera thief" played by Ji Won.
3. Hush
Release Date: December 11
Where to watch it: IQIYI
Soompi tells us that the drama is about "the everyday struggles and ethical dilemmas of newspaper reporters." IQIYI adds: "Im Yoon Ah of Girls' Generation plays the role of an intern reporter in a newspaper publishing house full of anxious characters."
4. True Beauty
Release Date: December 10
Where to watch it: Viu
True Beauty will tell the story of a high schooler (Moon Ga Young) who uses makeup to hide her "real appearance," and the gorgeous boy (Cha Eun Woo) who's the only person who knows what's under the makeup.
5. Queen Cheorin
Release Date: December 12
Where to watch it: To be announced
Also known as Mr. Queen, this "historical fusion drama" tells the story of a man from the present who somehow gets trapped in the body of a Joseon queen (Shin Hye Sun)! Crash Landing On You's Kim Jung Hyun plays the queen's husband, King Cheoljong.
6. Run On
Release Date: December 16
Where to watch it: Netflix
According to Netflix, this romantic drama is about "people who have trouble communicating, even while speaking in the same language." Im Si Wan stars as a retired track athlete while Shin Se Kyung is a translator.
7. Sweet Home
Release Date: December 18
Where to watch it: Netflix
The story is set in a "unique world in which people turn into monsters that reflect their internal desires." According to Netflix, Song Kang plays the lead, a high school student named Hyeon Su. Our new fave Lee Do Hyun, who recently starred in 18 Again, is also part of the cast!
8. Secret Royal Inspector/The Royal Secret Agent
Release Date: December 21
Where to watch it: IQIYI
Soompi tells us that in this drama, Kim Myung Soo's character Sung Yi Kyum is appointed secret royal inspector, "who goes undercover in the provinces to bring justice, uncover corruption, and solve the people's problems." Meanwhile, Kwon Nara is Hong Da In, who is in disguise as a gisaeng but in reality, she also works for the Joseon government.
