Dennis Trillo just got to meet one of South Korea's best filmmakers: Parasite director Bong Joon Ho!
The actor posted about his encounter with Joon Ho on IG, and the director even autographed his Parasite book—a graphic novel in storyboards.
"Labyu, Tito Bong! Thank you for signing my book," Dennis said in his post, where he mentioned in hashtags some of Joon Ho's biggest movie hits like Parasite, Memories Of Murder, Mother, The Host, Okja, and Snowpiercer.
Dennis met Joon Ho at the recently concluded 2021 Venice Film Festival, which was held from September 1 to 11, 2021. Dennis attended the event for the premiere of his movie On the Job: The Missing 8, which happens to be the only entry from Southeast Asia. Joon Ho was appointed as the film festival's 2021 jury president in January.
John Arcilla, who stars in the crime thriller, won the Best Actor Award at the film festival. The movie's cast includes Dennis, Andrea Brillantes, and Rayver Cruz, among others.
