GMA-7's Descendants Of The Sun remake is arguably one of the most anticipated shows to air in 2020. Although they haven't released an exact airing date yet, the cast and crew have been busy taping episodes for several months now. With their hard work and dedication, it seems like the DOTS team decided to push through with their taping today in spite of the less-than-ideal working conditions due to the Taal Volcano eruptions.
Classes and some offices are suspended today all over Luzon because of the ashfall and imminent danger of the Taal eruption, but the show must go on for DOTS lead star Jasmine Curtis-Smith and the rest of the team. On Instagram Stories, Jasmine, who plays Lt. Moira Defensor in the PH adaptation, showed how she's prepped for today's taping. Jas' first post is a selfie of her wearing her military costume and a ~makeshift~ mask to prevent her from inhaling ashfall. "No N95 mask to be found so makeshift one it is with this surgical/dust mask with layers of tissue. Hoping my asthma won't get triggered at taping today!"

(FYI, in our current ashfall conditions, it is highly recommended to use a N95 mask. Unlike a surgical mask or a cloth mask, an N95 mask is built to filter at least 95 percent of airborne particles and are designed to fit the face better than regular masks.)
The Kapuso star's second post shows a roof covered with ashfall in their taping location in Antipolo. "All the way in Antipolo," Jas wrote.

The Taal Volcano erupted yesterday, January 12, at 1:00 p.m. with a continuous rain of ash spewing from its crater. The ashfall has reportedly reached as far as northern Luzon.
