Real-life sweethearts Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga are taking their romance on the big screen with their movie entitled Dulo. ICYDK, it's Barbie's first project with both Diego and Viva, who is in charge of producing the film.
The 23-year-old actress takes on the role of Bianca, a loving freelance architect who meets Dex (played by Diego), a food vlogger who is already gearing for settling down.
When asked in an interview if their real-life relationship impacted their working dynamic on set, Barbie candidly admitted that it was a challenge at first. "Sobrang nailang akong um-acting kasama si Diego,” Barbie says. "After a few days, naging madali na for me, for both of us. Nasanay na kami."
Dulo also serves as an anniversary gift to the couple, who is celebrating their first year together on December 11, just a day after their movie starts streaming on Vivamax.

Aside from starring in the highly-anticipated film, Barbie and Diego have also been subjected to various controversies on social media, including an alleged cheating incident with a fellow celebrity.
In their recently concluded media press conference, Diego said that he and Barbie will not entertain any questions outside of their movie promotions, which is what the event is for.
He told entertainment reporters who were present: "To all our friends today, unang-una, gusto kong magpasalamat. Once again, you've given us the time of your day to spend with us, to promote our movie. I know it's inevitable that someone will ask certain questions, so I want to be the one na mauna na and talk about it briefly."
The young actor continues, "All I want to say nga po is, today, we are here to promote and to talk about our movie, and I want [it] to stay that way. Tungkol lang sa movie, everything about the movie. "Now, if other people are mentioned or if other questions are mentioned about other people who are not part of this project, this Zoom, this meeting, wala akong kailangan sabihin tungkol doon."
He then goes on to defend their *no-comment* stance on the controversies. He says, "Hindi rin kami ni Barbie yung tipo ng tao na kailangan manira ng ibang tao o magsalita tungkol sa ibang tao para malinis ang mga pangalan namin, because there’s nothing that we need to clean in the first place and I wanna leave it at that.
"I want this to be a positive experience. I want this to be a positive presscon and good vibes lang. Happy… Happy kami! So, please, let's not entertain anything else. Let's leave it at that."
The press granted Diego's request.
