Dimples said Boyet has sleep apnea and his heart would stop when he snored. He recently had a successful operation to clear his nasal passage and was told to go on a soft diet for two weeks. He ate miswa with ground meat and six slices of bread.
Afterwards, he woke up in the middle of the night, vomiting blood. He was rushed to the hospital.
Dimples said Boyet wanted her to go to her scheduled taping that day, but she refused, of course.
When he woke up after the operation, he told her that he loves her. “It was so special to me because all I could think about was how excruciating it was for my husband. Kakaopera lang ng lalamunan niya. Grabe ang pagmamahal na naramdaman ko.”
He now says I love you more often. Prior to this, they weren’t the type to be vocal about their feelings. Nagkaroon ng ibang meaning para sa akin ang ‘for better or for worse, in sickness or in health.’”
Dimples and Boyet have been married for 16 years and have two kids, Callie and Alonzo.
