Drop What You're Doing! Here Are The Freshest Tracks For March

March is a good month for music. AMIRIGHT?

“What Kind of Man” by Florence and the Machine

Perfect for: Singing at the top of your lungs while you’re mad at your boyfriend.

Florence Welch and company have released the fiery first single off their upcoming album How Big How Blue How Beautiful, and it rages with a woman’s torment over a partner who can’t make up his mind. Men—can’t live with them, can’t live without them.

“Pray to God” by Calvin Harris feat. Haim

Perfect for: Your workout playlist.

In this track off the album Motion, Calvin’s EDM beats get a welcome boost from indie band Haim’s vocal harmonies and Fleetwood Mac-esque guitar riffs. An unlikely pairing, but we are totes digging the edgy club-rock vibe.

“I Want You to Know” by Zedd feat. Selena Gomez

Perfect for: Falling in love on the dance floor.

This song dropped at the height of the Zeddlena dating rumors, so no one can really blame us for reading too much into lines like “I want you to know that it’s our time / You and me, we’re the same mind.”  Zedd and Selena have yet to confirm the rumors, but PLEASE JUST DO IT ALREADY.

“Candy” by the Singles

Perfect for: Hanging with the girls.

Yes, that is Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson on vocals! Joining her in this super-pop girl group are Este Haim of Haim, Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris, and Julia Haltigan. Bad news for the group: An LA-based band also called the Singles has filed a cease-and-desist letter against them, so they may have to look for another name.

“Drop That Kitty” by Ty Dolla $ign feat. Charli XCX and Tinashe

Perfect for: Feeling hot as shit.

Three awesome up-and-comers team up to spin a sexy hip-hop single any girl can shake her boo-tay to. With lines like “I’m playin' with the kitty and it ain't got fur,” you know the song’s not just about some cute little kitten.

“Lifted Up (1985)” by Passion Pit

Perfect for: Boosting your mood.

The electro-pop band is back with another synth-soaked, feel-good song, this time off their upcoming album Kindred. Blast this number when the going gets tough and let those nasty nega vibes float away.

“Nothing Without Love” by Nate Ruess

Perfect for: Basking in the beauty of love, love, love.

The fun. frontman embarks on a solo project this year and delivers an epic anthem that will make you want to get out there and just fall the fuck in love already. Trivia: The song was inspired by his relationship with fashion designer Charlotte Ronson. Aww.

“Champagne Kisses” by Jessie Ware

Perfect for: Daydreaming about MOMOL.

With her track “Meet Me in the Middle” landing on the Fifty Shades of Grey OST, we bet this English act will have more listeners streaming her smooth, electro-tinged songs. One of these off her latest album Tough Love is “Champagne Kisses,” a gentle ode to the joy of kissing.

“Only One” by Nick Jonas

Perfect for: Feeling ~*tender*~.

The JoBro did a cover of Kanye West’s song dedicated to his daughter North, and it is AWESOME. For one, it lays off on much of the Auto-Tune that marked the original. And another, IT’S NICK JONAS.

Run Run Run by Kelly Clarkson feat. John Legend

Perfect for: Your hugot moments.

Kelly has been dropping tracks in the days leading up to the release of her latest album Piece by Piece, and one of them is this heartbreaking cover of a Tokio Hotel original. As she and John sing “And I run, run, run, run, run,” don’t be surprised if you suddenly shed a tear, because damn… #RELATEMUCH
