2. Eric Nam was named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 (2017) and GQ Korea Men of the Year (2016).

Eric has gotten several recognitions from different organizations over the course of his successful career. He's not only talented in music but he also gained a solid reputation as a host and interviews, especially for English-speaking artists. He is also well-loved and respected by his peers in the entertainment industry. He truly deserves these recognitions and more!

3. He had a different career path before deciding to pursue being a singer.

After graduating with a degree in International Studies from Boston College and getting a job offer as a business analyst, Eric was on track for a career path in the corporate world. However, when a window of opportunity came for him to come to South Korea and start a career in the entertainment industry, he didn't want to let it pass. He grabbed the chance, and the rest is history. We're absolutely glad he made that life-changing decision!

4. He's the voice behind some of the OSTs of popular K-dramas.

5. Eric Nam has his own podcast called Daebak Show.

Being a seasoned host, it's no wonder Eric started his own podcast. At first, Daebak Show's format was Eric sharing his insights about the latest K-pop releases, his random ramblings, and fun stories. Eventually, he invited Korean celebrities to catch up and discuss random topics with him. Fans love the podcast because every episode is so personal, and we get to hear a lot of behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the guests themselves. Here's BTOB's Peniel talking about his JYP audition with Eric:

With more than 100 episodes released, Daebak Show is now in its second season. Aside from listening to the podcast on Apple or Spotify, you can also watch full videos and episode highlights on Dive Studios' YouTube channel.

6. He sang John Legend's "Ordinary People" for Star Audition: Birth Of A Great Star 2.

And yes, the judges loved him. They were skeptical at first because the song is quite hard to sing but when Eric Nam started singing, they couldn't stop smiling. He passed that audition with flying colors for sure. Eric ended up being in the Top 5 which became the start of his music career in South Korea. 7. Eric has two brothers, Eddie, and Brian, and they started Dive Studios together.

Did you know that Eric is the eldest among the Nam brothers? They co-founded Dive Studios where Brian is the CEO, Eddie is the VP of Talent and Eric is the Creative Director. It seems like the Nam brothers work together well. What's more interesting is that they're hilarious when they decide to go on a podcast episode and just drag and expose each other all in good fun (as expected of siblings!). You can see they're super close to each other! Check out this Nam Family Story Time Collection and prepare to laugh your heart out:

We're not over that story of Eddie getting mad at Brian for listening to another Korean male soloist other than Eric. They're so funny!

It's a long list of collaborations! Among Korean artists, some notable ones are "Spring Love" with Red Velvet's Wendy, "You, Who? " with Somi, and the remake of  "Perhaps Love" with CHEEZE. His Western artist collaborations include "Missing You" with Steve James and "Have We Met Before" with Sarah Barrios.
