1. EXO will be performing in Manila for MBC Show Champion
EXO has been confirmed to be one of the K-pop acts performing at the MOA Arena for MBC Show Champion on October 28, 2018. This will be the boy group's second Manila visit this year after their "Elyxion" concert last April. They will be joined by Weki Meki, The Boyz, MXM, and Hyeongseop X Euiwoong (ABS-CBN).
2. Sharon Cuneta posts heartfelt message for Kris Aquino's Crazy Rich Asians acting
Sharon Cuneta had nothing but good things to say about Kris Aquino's casting in the blockbuster hit, Crazy Rich Asians. She took to Instagram and said, "When one of us has the blessing of being chosen among hundreds to become part of a Hollywood movie— especially from a major studio and based on a best-selling book, WE SHOULD BE HAPPY. PROUD" (CNN Philippines).
3. Kanye West apologizes for the comments he made about slavery
Kanye West was recently under fire for his controversial statement about slavery. The rapper said, "When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... For 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You were there for 400 years and it's all of y'all. It's like we're mentally imprisoned."
He has since apologized for this statement in an interview with Chicago's WGCI-FM. "I don't know if I properly apologized for how that slave comment made people feel," he said. "So I want to take this moment right now to say ... I'm sorry for people who felt let down by that moment" (CNN Philippines).
4. Mystica recently asked Coco Martin to cast her in Ang Probinsyano
Dubbed "the '90s split queen," Mystica appealed to Coco Martin on her recent TV Patrol appearance, asking him to cast her in Ang Probinsyano. “Yun na lamang po ang paraan ko na humingi ng tulong kay Coco Martin na sana po isali naman [niya po ako]," she said. "Ito na lang po ang natitirang pag-asa ko, yung talent ko" (PEP.ph).
She is currently making a living by selling fried chicken in Cavite.
5. Robi Domingo was asked if he was over his ex, Gretchen Ho
At a press con for ABS-CBN's newest show, "The Kids Choice," Robi Domingo was asked by press if he was over his ex, Gretchen Ho. The Kapamilya star said, "Yung history, siyempre, nandoon pa rin. Pero ang degree ay mag-iiba na 'yan. How I treat her would be different. Kapag 'yung pakiramdam ko towards her would be the same na pagka-care. When it comes to caring, when it comes to being proud of her, nandoon pa rin."
Robi also mentioned that he's currently dating someone, but wants to keep the relationship private (ABS-CBN).
