A female passenger riding a jeepney was suddenly shot dead on Thursday morning by a still unidentified gunman at the part adjoining N. Garcia and J.P. Rizal streets in Makati City.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Lauren Kristel Rosales, ABS-CBN reported.
Makati City safety officer Sonny Priol said the suspect was initially a fellow passenger of the victim until he got off the jeepney and started shooting Rosales.
The suspect then left his cap, jacket, and the murder weapon inside a pink tricycle and hurriedly fled the scene.

Meanwhile, jeepney driver Michael Tan confirmed the incident to GMA News but said the shooting started at the corner of J.P. Rizal and Reposo streets.
Tan also said the suspect shot Rosales thrice, with one of the bullets hitting another female passenger in the thigh. She was rushed to the Ospital ng Makati.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the identity of the suspect and his motive but they have already ruled out robbery or illegal drugs as the cause of the crime.
Earlier, the Commission on Human Rights said an average of 10 people, mostly drug suspects, have been killed each day under the Duterte administration.
For her part, Vice President Leni Robredo has repeatedly called on her former colleagues in Congress to probe the rampant amount of drug-related killings which has so far seen innocent people get involved.
