UPDATE, 29 October 2019: Sad news for those looking forward to their 2019 look! Gabriel Yap announced that due to their busy schedules, he and his friends would not be doing a group costume this year.
The Crazy Rich Asians fever is far from over. In fact, judging by this year's Halloween, it's become the most popular source of inspo for costumes. Case in point: this group of Filipino friends' take on Kevin Kwan's masterpiece. It's the best one we've seen so far!
On his social media accounts, Gabriel Yap posted a group photo of him and his friends dressed as the main cast of the film—spot Rachel Chu, Nick Young, Astrid Leong, Peik Lin, and more—and they nailed the costumes down to a tee. See for yourself below!
Since then, his post has garnered over a thousand likes on Facebook and was even featured by international website Huffington Post.
Some of the cast members, including Gemma Chan, Henry Golding, and Kris Aquino, also noticed their impressive costumes. Nico Santos (a.k.a. Oliver Tsien) even left them a comment on Instagram.
Think this crew looks familiar? It's probably because you've seen their viral photos of their previous Halloween getups—check out their interpretation of Train To Busan (2016), and Taylor Swift's music video for "Look What You Made Me Do" (2017). We can't wait to see what they come up with next year!
Good job, guys!
