This time, India, or rather, Bollywood, is getting a taste of the KathNiel craze as ABS-CBN Film Productions announced that it has entered into a partnership with India's Global One Studios for the adaptation of five KathNiel movies. The partnership is also the first time that Filipino films will be remade in India!
Olivia Lamasan, the Managing Director of ABS-CBN Films said, "The Philippines and India share many common values, among which is the strong love for family, that resonate in our films and will soon be experienced by the people of India."
Global One Studios is slated to produce the Indian remake of top-grossing films like:
1. She's Dating The Gangster (2014)
Kathryn recently said that Daniel did his own stunts in the film.
2. Crazy Beautiful You (2015)
3. Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016)
This romance-drama film won Best Picture at the 65th FAMAS Awards in 2017. Filmed on location in Spain, Pinoy fans actually ~flocked~ to the shooting locations to get a glimpse of KathNiel!
4. Can't Help Falling In Love (2017)
5. The Hows Of Us (2018)
The country's highest-grossing film of 2018 raked in an impressive P800 million in the box office. Last year, fans freaked out when Star Cinema released deleted scenes from the hit movie, followed by 10 minutes worth of bloopers.
