Can you believe it's been seven years since Four Sisters And A Wedding graced our screens? The movie, which focuses on the four Salazar sisters who are determined to stop their brother's wedding, is full of family drama, love, and tears. It's a classic Pinoy movie and it even has a prequel now: Four Sisters Before The Wedding, which is currently available for streaming. In honor of the new movie, let's check in on what the OG Salazar sisters from the 2013 film are up to now:
Toni Gonzaga (Teddie Salazar)
Toni Gonzaga got married to her longtime boyfriend Paul Soriano in June 2015, and they're now parents to Seve, who turned four years old this year! After starring in Four Sisters And A Wedding, she played lead roles in the films Starting Over Again (2014), You're My Boss (2015), and Last Night (2017). She also continued her hosting career by being an MC for The Voice Philippines, The Voice Teens, and The Voice Kids. Toni launched her official YouTube channel in January 2019, and it currently has a whopping 1.96 million subscribers.
Bea Alonzo (Bobbie Salazar)
Bea Alonzo's acting credits post-Four Sisters involve a lot of romance films, a horror film entitled Eerie (2019), and a teleserye called A Love To Last (2017)! In the trailer for her 2019 film Unbreakable, there was even a reference to Four Sisters when her character said "Bakit parang kasalanan ko?" There are also plans for a Bea + Alden Richards movie, as well as a reunion film for her and John Lloyd Cruz. Earlier this year, fans also started *shipping* Bea and actor Dominic Roque as a couple!
Angel Locsin (Alex Salazar)
Angel Locsin, aka "the people's Darna," was named one of Forbes Asia's 100 Digital Stars of 2020 and she also landed a spot in Forbes' 13th annual "Heroes of Philanthropy" list! Angel is also very vocal when it comes to social issues, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped raise almost P11 million for hospital tents in the city. Her recent acting projects include The General's Daughter (2019) and La Luna Sangre (2017). Angel got engaged to her boyfriend Neil Arce in June 2019.
Shaina Magdayao (Gabbie Salazar)
Unlike her ~sisters~ in the film, Shaina Magdayao went on a slightly more indie route when it comes to acting projects. She starred in the Lav Diaz film Ang Panahon ng Halimaw (2018), the thriller film Dukot (2016), and a dystopian film set in 2034 called Ang Hupa (2019). Her latest movie, Tagpuan, is part of the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival lineup.
Enchong Dee (CJ/Reb-Reb Salazar)
CJ is all grown up because he just starred in the Netflix film Alter Me, where he played the role of "in-demand call-boy" Uno! Prior to Alter Me, Enchong Dee worked on the teleserye The Blood Sisters (2018) and the romance film Elise (2019). He will be one of the hosts of the new show Pinoy Big Brother: Connect. Like Angel, Enchong is very vocal about social issues, especially on his Twitter account.
Bonus: Angeline Quinto (Princess Antoinette May Bayag)
What about CJ's girlfriend, Princess? Singer Angeline Quinto has been part of many variety shows and singing competitions on ABS-CBN, including I Can See Your Voice and It's Showtime. She also starred in several Maalalaala Mo Kaya episodes!
