*October 2021 Update*
We have another K-drama to look forward to and the cast is just...*chef's kiss*. Yup, we will be seeing Kim Bum and Rain together in the fantasy drama Ghost Doctor! Here's everything we know about the new show (so far):
What's the story of Ghost Doctor?
According to Soompi, it's a fantasy + medical drama that will focus on two very different doctors "who end up combining bodies and spirits." Get this: These two doctors will *not* be able to leave their hospital and their patients even after their deaths.
The production company behind Ghost Doctor also created the hit dramas Master's Sun, She Was Pretty, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, and Encounter, so it looks like we're in for a wild and *romantic* ride! Soompi adds that it will be directed by Boo Sung Chul of The Heirs.
Who's in the cast?
Rain as Cha Young Min
Where we last saw him: Welcome 2 Life (2019)
Rain was confirmed to star as Cha Young Min, a "genius doctor," in March 2021. The character is a thoracic surgeon who is selfish, arrogant, and has "crazy medical skills!"
Kim Bum as Go Seung Tak
Where we last saw him: Law School (2021)
Kim Bum has finally said "yes" to the role of Go Seung Tak! The character is described as "a highly intelligent resident who hails from a privileged background. He grew up with every advantage." (via Soompi) Kim Bum starred in another fantasy drama called Tale Of The Nine-Tailed in 2020.
Son Naeun
Where we last saw her: Lost (2021) and Dinner Mate (2020)
In July 2021, it was confirmed that Son Naeun will be part of the Ghost Doctor cast! She will play Oh Soo Jung, "an emergency room intern who believes in supernatural phenomena and miracles despite studying medicine." (via Soompi)

When is the release date of Ghost Doctor?
