Attention, Upper East Siders. This just in: Gossip Girl might be making a comeback. At the Television Critics Association winter press tour, CW president Mark Pedowitz, mentioned that there's been chat of a revival.
"There's a discussion, but I don't know if we're there yet," dished M, adding that he has basically no idea what the revival would actually be.
Although the simple mention of the return of Gossip Girl is reason enough to pour yourself a mimosa (or have Dorota pour one for you), there's also a strong possibility that not everybody would be down. After the finale, Penn Badgley admitted the show's ending made "no sense at all," and I think we all know how Blair Waldorf feels about reliving the past. Remember when she freaked out at an innocent Constance Billard student for wearing last season's Tory Burch flats? Surely, that's a minor offense in comparison to hanging out with your high school crew nearly a decade later.
At least there is comfort in the fact that good ol' Penn is out here keeping the spirit of Lonely Boy alive as creepy stalker Joe Goldberg in You. If we do get a GG reboot, You will be like a nice little primer. If we're not so lucky, season two will hopefully fill the Met steps-sized hole in your heart.
