Last year, K-pop boy group BTS got their first-ever Grammy Awards *nod* when they were nominated for Best Recording Package. Since then, the group has scored their third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart with Map Of The Soul: Persona, and they've broken sooo many records, it's getting hard to keep count!
Which is why it comes as such as an *unwelcome* surprise to us that they DIDN'T GET A SINGLE NOMINATION for the 2020 Grammys. The full list of nominees includes Ariana Grande, Lizzo, and Billie Eillish—but not BTS.
Fans are understandably upset, and they're saying things like: "BTS was robbed" and "BTS got nothing...Bestselling album of the year and one of the biggest music acts in the world right now. What more do Grammys want? For them to be white?"
Even Halsey, who collaborated with the boy band earlier this year, couldn't help but tweet: "Deleting and ignoring all negativity. BTS deserved many nominations. I am, however, unsurprised that they weren't acknowledged. The US is so far behind on the whole movement. The time will come."
Halsey worked with BTS on the record-breaking track "Boy With Luv," which currently has more than 600 million views for its offish music video!
But like Halsey and ARMYs keep saying: It's just an awards show, right? The boys have already won—in our hearts.
Here, let's rewatch BTS and Halsey's MV for some good vibes:
