Style icon Heart Evangelista recently revealed that she has hoarded designer shoes from Rufa Mae Quinto when the comedienne sold several designer pieces on Instagram.
In a vlog uploaded on September 22, Heart gave fans a peek at her massive shoe collection and the stories that came along with her most favorite pairs.
The actress shared that her love for shoes started when she was about four or five years old and she needed to be taken to the hospital because of an accident. "I remember wearing my mom's turquoise Escada strappy shoes. I've always wanted to wear them and she wasn't home that time and I did," Heart said.
"I tried them on, walked down the stairs, and I fell and hit a glass table," Heart said. Requiring seven stitches on her head, Heart said that she has "dark beginnings with my love for shoes."
Heart briefly spoke about purchasing shoes from Rufa. The actress, who has quite the shoe collection, decided to re-home her pre-loved shoes on Instagram and Heart was one of the buyers!
Heart commented, "You know who has a really good collection? Rufa Mae Quinto." She added, "Sorry, guys, wala na kayong naabutan kasi binili ko na lahat ng magaganda!"
Heart recalled, "Sobrang ganda ng collection niya. As in almost all runway Chanel boots." The actress said that the comedienne's shoe size plays between sizes 5 and 7 and unfortunately, Heart can only fit in Rufa's size 7 shoes.
She did, however, manage to snag several pieces from Rufa, including a pair of transparent wedges, as well as a pair of Gucci shoes that she got for P5,000. "Yung iba, nilibre nalang niya. 'Sige, okay lang. Bigay ko na sa'yo yan.' She's so cute," Heart recalled.
Apart from showing her beautiful shoe collection, Heart also gave advice on what to look for, especially when buying high heels and trends in fashion. She said, "For me, fashion isn't really about who has the pieces from the latest season or what's the newest that that's the only thing I'm going to buy. No, fashion is all about having key pieces that will last you forever, that you could still use and mix with your new and old. I think that is fashion and that is self-expression."
Heart also went on to talk about her many shoe-firsts, like getting obsessed with jelly shoes and her first pair of Louis Vuitton wedges that she got when she was a teenager. She said that she started investing in shoes because it was part of her job as an actress.
Heart detailed the struggles of being a shoe lover. As she was talking about her Christian Louboutin sling back shoes, she said, "Sometimes, you know, when you're walking, you're too confident tapos akala mo ang ganda-ganda mo, tapos pak, maiiwan yung sapatos mo. That's a normal thing for me. I always trip. I always leave one pair of shoes behind. That's always me but you know, I just laugh it off."
