ICYDK, Heart Evangelista has been making headlines recently for her ~alleged~ marital problems with her husband Chiz Escudero. The rumors were even fueled by her revelation that she’s “going through personal struggles” in her latest vlog.
Asked about her daughter’s marital status, her mom Cecile Ongpauco clears that while she hasn’t spoken to anybody yet, she’s praying for her daughter to get through her struggles, including her possible rift with Chiz. “It’s their private life so I am just praying for them. I know they will be okay."
She continued, having nothing but kind words about her son-in-law. "I’ve known Chiz to be a mature and grounded person that’s why I am happy for my daughter.”
While all is well now between Cecile and Chiz, it hasn’t always been that way in the past. In 2013, she and her ex-husband, Heart’s dad, even staged a presscon to express their disapproval of their daughter’s relationship with the senator.
It seems like time heals all wounds, because just last year, they were spotted bonding in Heart's vlog! She even praised the couple’s ~healthy~ marriage. “You know what I like about your marriage? You allow each other to grow. You don't stunt her growth. You don't cramp her style. I think that's what's good about her marriage. He allows her to grow on her own.”
