7 K-Dramas Starring 'Start-Up' Child Actress Heo Jung Eun To Stream On Netflix And Viu

We can't believe Heo Jung Eun is almost a teenager! The child actress, who was born in 2007, has portrayed many adorable characters in our fave K-dramas. During the 2016 KBS Drama Awards, innocent Jung Eun even told everyone that she preferred Song Joong Ki over Park Bo Gum! To be fair, she was put on the spot. Watch the adorbs video below: 

She also received the 2016 Best Young Actress award from KBS. Most recently, we saw her in the hit K-drama Start-Up as the young Dal Mi! Here's a list of Heo Jung Eun dramas if you want to see more of the young actress: 

1. My Lawyer, Mr. Jo (2016)

Her role: Jo Su Bin 

This drama, according to Viu, is about a man named Jo Deul Ho (Park Shin Yang) who "gives up his life as a prosecutor because of his beliefs and starts his life over as a neighborhood lawyer." He has a daughter, Jo Su Bin, who also appeared in the show's 2019 sequel, My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2 : Crime And Punishment

2. Love In The Moonlight (2016)

Her role: Princess Yeong Eun

In Love In The Moonlight, a resourceful young woman named Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung) works at the palace disguised as a eunuch and falls in love with Prince Lee Young (Park Bo Gum)! Heo Jung Eun plays Prince Lee Young's little sister. Princess Yeong Eun has not spoken in years, due to a super disturbing scene she witnessed when she was younger.

3. Mr. Sunshine (2018)

Where to watch it: Netflix

Her role: Young Go Ae Sin

In the hit 2018 period drama, child actress Jung Eun stars as the younger version of Ae Sin (Kim Tae Ri), a woman of noble birth who lost her parents when she was just a baby. Many years later, Ae Sin meets Eugene (Lee Byung Hun), a Korean man who grew up in the United States. 

4. The Ghost Detective (2018)

Where to watch it: Viu

Her role: Young Seon Woo Hye

Just like the title suggests, this drama is about a detective who catches ghosts! He encounters "a mysterious woman in red," Seon Woo Hye (Lee Ji Ah), who always appears at crime scenes. 

5. 100 Days My Prince (2018)

Her role: Young Yoon Yi Seo

Yup, it's another sageuk drama for our fave child actress! Heo Jung Eun plays the younger version of Nam Ji Hyun, an independent woman who is the head of a detective agency. She meets the prince, who has assumed a new identity. Like a true K-drama, they already had an encounter as children, of course. 

6. Arthdal Chronicles (2019)

Where to watch it: Netflix

Her role: Young Tan Ya

Heo Jung Eun portrays a young Kim Ji Won. In the drama, she is part of the Wahan Tribe and is *destined* to be the next shaman. The series itself focuses on Tanya's close friend and love interest Eun Som (Song Joong Ki), an orphan "half-breed" who just wants to belong.

7. Start-Up (2020)

Where to watch it: Netflix

Her role: Young Dal Mi

In Start-Up, Heo Jung Eun plays the younger version of Bae Suzy's character Dal Mi. As a pre-teen, Dal Mi experiences many challenges: Her parents got divorced, her mom remarried, and she was separated from her older sister. Dal Mi got through those difficult years by exchanging letters with her first love and pen pal Do San! Many years later, Dal Mi tries to track him down.  

Bonus: Oh My Geum Bi (2016)

Where to watch it: It's not available in the PH yet, but we had to mention this drama because it's her first lead role! 

Her role: Geum Bi

According to the show's trailer description, eight-year-old Geum Bi has Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC): "a rare genetic condition that makes her body unable to properly metabolize cholesterol and other lipids and is often referred to as 'childhood Alzheimer's' because of the rapid mental and physical deterioration that accompanies it."
