Herlene Budol may be all set for her participation in the Miss Planet International competition, but she's faced with a new challenge involving her national costume.
The beauty queen-comedienne recently took to social media on November 5, 2022, Saturday, to share her sadness and frustration as the outfit didn't make it in one piece to Uganda, where the beauty pageant is being held.
"Nakakaiyak at sobrang lungkot ng Hipon Girl niyo," Herlene wrote in an IG post, featuring photos of boxes and crying emojis.
"Ang national costume mukhang na-disgrasya po ng airlines," she added, narrating how when the cargo arrived at the airport, the airline reportedly refused to carry it on board as it is oversized. According to Herlene, they were left with no choice but to separate the pieces of the national costume into several boxes.
"Ang masaklap, yung pinaka-body ng costume hindi nakarating ng Uganda," Herlene noted. "Buong araw na kami nasa airport at tinengga oras namin at pinangakuan kami na darating ng gabi. Pero 2:30 a.m. na at wala na silang paramdam."
Herlene appealed to the airline in question by tagging its Instagram handle in her post.
Miss Planet International's pre-pageant activities start on November 15, and its coronation night takes place on November 19 in Kampala.
