Herlene Budol's star is shining in the Binibining Pilipinas competition! The comedienne and former Wowowin host, also known as "Hipon Girl," recently won a beauty award in an event sponsored by makeup brand Ever Bilena.
Herlene, who's representing the city of Angono, Rizal, wrote in an Instagram post on May 27, "Panibagong araw hatid ay panibagong pag-asa. Maraming salamat sa iyo, dakilang Ama sa blessings na tinatamasa ko ngayon."
Herlene won Miss Black Water 2022, a grooming and fragrance brand for men under the Ever Bilena Cosmetics line. According to Herlene, it's the first award that she won, and she even congratulated her fellow Bb. Pilipinas contestants for bagging several titles as well.
Winners include Chelsea Fernandez, Ms. Ever Bilena; Nicole Borromeo, Ms. Careline Cosmetics; Karen Laurrie Mendoza, Miss Hello Glow; Diana Mackey, Miss Ever Organics; Roberta Tamondong, Ms. Spotlight Cosmetics PH; and Nyca Bernardo, Ms. Hyaloo.
Herlene is aiming to win the Miss Grand International crown. She previously admitted that English is her weakness and will not learn the language for the sake of the competition. She said, "It doesn't mean na hanggang diyan na lang si Hipon Girl niyo. Hindi ko pipilitin ang mag-Ingles. Wikang Filipino po ang gagamitin ko.”
