As we all well know, the most important reboot in reboot history is coming to town. Earlier this year it was announced that a Lizzie McGuire revival will be hitting screens next year as one of the new shows on Disney+, Disney's new streaming service and Netflix equivalent.
The show will follow a now 30-year-old Lizzie, living in Manhattan, as she grapples with work, dating, and presumably working out just how many butterfly clips are appropriate in 2020 (Answer: The limit does not exist).
In celebration, a lot of wholesome McGuire-related content has been circulating on social media, including that very happy little snap of the entire McGuire family on the half-built set that will soon be the family's living room. Like I say, all very lovely and wholesome.
That was until Hilary Duff's fiancé, Matthew Koma, left quite the comment on her most recent pic. Celebrating her first day of filming, the picture which she captioned, "Happy first LIZZIE day!!!!!!" shows Duff dressed in an excellent mustard jacket and suit combo, looking very stylish in the streets of Manhattan.
To which Mr. McGuire commented, "Ugh I can't wait to role play."
Big shout out to Kyleek21, whoever you are, for crafting a response that I think sums it up for all of us: "SIR PUMP YOUR BREAKS. Not on MY childhood nostalgia Disney comeback post!"
