At the 2020 APAN Star Awards Ceremony, Hyun Bin received the grand prize or the "daesang" for the K-drama, and he gave a special shoutout to Ye Jin in his acceptance speech. The APAN Star Awards recognizes the best programs on Korean TV every year.
“I'm happy to be starting off 2021 with such a big award. I feel like I should work even harder this year to repay this honor," he started off. "Even now, Crash Landing On You is receiving a lot of love. Thank you to the fans of Crash Landing on You, not only in Korea but all over the world. Many people worked hard in order to create Crash Landing On You. I am grateful to the writer, the directors, and all the production staff. It was an honor to work with such amazing peers, seniors, and juniors, who all showed great acting."
Here's where he mentions Ye Jin. Aww.
"I am also grateful to Son Ye Jin, whose Yoon Se Ri was the perfect partner for Ri Jung Hyuk. It was thanks to her brilliant acting as Yoon Se Ri that Ri Jung Hyuk was able to shine. Thank you. I will continue to work hard so that I can show a better and more improved side of myself."
Hyun Bin also announced that he will be starring in a movie that will be out this 2021. "I will be releasing a movie this year, and I am cautiously hoping for the day that we can meet in the movie theater without masks and smile brightly," he said.
Hyun Bin might be referring to the sequel to the action-thriller flick Confidential Assignment, which starts filming this February.
Congrats and stay nakakakilig, Hyun Bin and Ye Jin!
