If you’re the type of person who uses a billion generic hashtags like #food, #love, or #blessed, you might want to try this latest Instagram hack instead.
Apparently, if you use the geotag “Singapore, Singapore,” your photo is more likely to appear on the Instagram explore page. And yes, you don’t actually have to be in Singapore. Additionally, for the trick to work, you have to take the geotag off after 24 hours.
If you’re confused, you’re not alone. Twitter has been WTF-ing for days now.
Obviously, this hack can get pretty embarrassing, especially if you’re posting a photo of you in Palawan and tagging it as “Singapore, Singapore.” Some people might call you out for it, but if your goal is to gain more followers—it can’t hurt to try.
