On June 27, 2022, Vice Ganda tripped onstage during an episode of It’s Showtime. The incident happened during a segment of the show called “Showtime Sexy Babe” where Vice, together with co-hosts Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and Jhong Hilario were interviewing a contestant.
They were all discussing the contestant’s walk when Jhong pointed out that she may not be comfortable wearing platform high heels. Vice then proceeded on to doing an exaggerated imitation of the contestant’s walk while walking on his toes.
As seen on camera, Vice missed a step that led him to trip over just right in front of the cameraman.
It’s Showtime co-hosts rushed to help Vice get up, including his partner Ion Perez. As usual, while unable to hold back their laughter, Vice made fun of this blooper and told the contestant, “Huwag kang magtitingkayad!”
“Natakot ako, akala ko papasok ako sa camera! Magugulat yung mga madlang pipol, ‘Uy, bakit nandito ka sa bahay namin?’ ‘Nakikiupo lang po ako kasi balita ko komportable yung sofa niyo’,” added Vice.
However, more than the accident, netizens were quick to notice how Ion immediately came to the rescue and how worried he looked.
“Hindi ka ba nasugatan? Huwag ka kasi malikot,” Ion reminded Vice.
