ABS-CBN actress Isabelle Daza revealed that one of the hardest decisions she made in her career was when she left GMA-7's Eat Bulaga!

She shared this during an interview for Eat Bulaga's 40th anniversary special titled "Kwentong Eat Bulaga."

Isabelle started hosting Eat Bulaga! in 2011, the year she first joined showbiz.

She had to leave the show three years later, in 2014, when she transferred to ABS-CBN.

Isabelle was emotional when she opened up about her departure during the interview.

"Ngayon, kapag tinatanong ako what was the hardest decision in your life...I'm gonna cry.

"It was leaving Eat Bulaga! because mahal na mahal ko sila and lahat ng tao do'n, from the floor director to the cameramen to even the people sa backroom, nakasanayan ko na and nakasama ko."

The Kapamilya actress also said that up to this day, she considers the whole Eat Bulaga! Dabarkads as her family.

"Kapag naiisip ko ang Eat Bulaga!, the first thing that comes to mind is family, dahil hanggang ngayon, itinuturing ko pa rin silang pamilya ko.

"That's where I started and never ko yang makakalimutan. I've been in showbiz for seven years, meron akong background sa hosting pero wala pang variety show."

She admitted that she was initially scared because she would share hosting duties with legends Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, collectively known as TVJ.

Isabelle recalled, "Ang unang feeling, siyempre, is takot because live show siya.

"Tapos, I guess, challenging kasi you're with the legends, TVJ, and mostly excited dahil panibagong experience and gusto ko siyang subukan."

While hosting Eat Bulaga!, Isabelle had to learn new things.

But then, it was made easier for her because of the performances and stunts she had to do.

She narrated, "Sa umpisa, medyo shy pa ako, they didn't really know the real me.

"Since bago ako, lagi akong nababasa sa swimming pool! Lahat ng mga acrobat, lahat ng mga stunts, lahat ng mga mahihirap, ginawa ko.

"Parang 'yon yung initiation ko, which I enjoyed.

"Mga opening dance number, kung anu-ano, even if I can't sing, pinakanta ako.

"So, it was really fun and feeling ko talaga, I got to know myself more."

Isabelle is also proud to say that Eat Bulaga! gave her the first and only acting award, which was for a performance during the annual Lenten specials.

"I think Eat Bulaga! really is able to showcase lahat ng mga talents mo, and kung wala ka man no'n, pinu-push ka nila para magkaroon ng ganon.

"I'm very competitive, as you can see, I won the best actress in the Lenten season. Zoom in please, kasi that's my only award, e!

"I'll always be grateful dahil ang dami kong natutunan."

With her Eat Bulaga! experience, Isabelle admitted that she also learned to love her work.

She said with a smile, "Ang nagbago sa akin, dahil sa Eat Bulaga!ay I absolutely loved work.

"Before, ang trabaho iniisip ko, ang hirap, ito na naman, trabaho na naman.

"While I was in Eat Bulaga!, every day, masigla. Wala akong memory na I don't want to work kasi every day, happy.

"It was so positive and I think, that's the reason why Eat Bulaga! is up to now, 40 years, going strong.

"Dahil lahat ng tao do'n, even if pagod, masaya and mahal na mahal nila ang trabaho nila and passionate sila. And I love that. It inspires me.

"At alam ko na this has shaped Filipino culture. Alam ko na lahat milyong-milyong tao, they look forward to watching Eat Bulaga! everyday dahil sa tawa, dahil sa saya, dahil sa tulong at aral na pinapakita nila sa tao.

"Once a Dabarkads, forever a Dabarkads, because forever ang Eat Bulaga!"

Isabelle had an emotional exit in Eat Bulaga! in November 2014.

She said, "It was so painful to leave them. I'm crying and crying."

During her first few months in the Kapamilya network, Isabelle also chose not to appear in Eat Bulaga's rival program, It's Showtime.

She said in a 2015 interview at the press conference of her TV show Nathaniel, "I think, it's all in the right time. Pwede naman but at the right time.

"Pero siyempre, I want to give respect sa Eat Bulaga! where I came from. At hindi ko naman kailangan mag-guest sa It's Showtime or mag-hurado dun para lang mag-promote kasi I want to give respect sa Eat Bulaga! And I think Showtime will understand that."

At present, Isabelle remains a contract star of ABS-CBN.

As a Kapamilya, Isabelle focused more on acting, after being tapped to join teleseryes like Nathaniel (2015), Tubig at Langis (2016), and Playhouse (2018 to 2019).
