It has been three years since IU released Palette, her last full-length album. On Twitter, fans are over the moon with the announcement of her comeback, and trended IU5.
The 27-year-old recently received the grand prize (Digital Daesang or Digital Song Of The Year award) at the 35th Golden Disc Awards, and she shared what her new track will be all about: "I hope to release at least one song in January that can bring sincere comfort to those who are tired and suffering right now. I think I will be able to release a song that is refreshing and gives people strength. In order to become a singer that UAENA can be proud of, I will not waste a single moment in carelessness.”
IU marked her 12th anniversary in the industry in September 2020, and she continues to wow her fans with her versatility—both with her stage performances and acting skills. Apart from being a K-pop superstar, IU has also starred in phenomenal K-dramas like Scarlet Heart Ryeo, My Mister, and Hotel Del Luna. She will soon appear in the upcoming movie Dream, alongside our favorite oppa Park Seo Joon.
