Wait, That Jaime Lannister Golden Hand Editing Mistake Was Actually Fake

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

Hello. There's been a very important update in the "Jaime Lannister grew his real hand back" case from this week's Game of Thrones episode. According to some Twitter detectives, there wasn't actually an editing mistake at all!

Here's the tea: After the ep aired, some pics made the rounds on Twitter that showed Jaime hugging Cersei in the crypts below The Red Keep. His right hand, the one he lost, had magically grown back. The internet at large went pretty crazy because after Coffee Cup Gate 2019, it looked as though the Thrones editing had officially gone to sh*t.

But! In a major plot twist, it turns out that actual shot was never featured in the episode. "I saw this picture of Cersei & Jaime and went back to the episode to check out if they really forgot the hand. THEY DID NOT. I couldn't even find this shot in the episode. So this picture is fake. Don't trust everything you see. (Correct me if i'm wrong)," one fan pointed out.

And if you watch the actual scene again, Jaime is definitely wearing his gold hand, and the fan is right that the actual shot isn't there. Here are some screenshots with the brightness turned up obnoxiously high for your convenience:

SEE? The gold hand is present and accounted for.

So wait, where'd that other picture come from then? HBO apparently circulated it as a promo for the episode and then stopped circulating it once they realized the editing mistake.

Alright, looks like you have one less thing to be pissed about re: this week's episode!
