Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador took to Twitter to respond to a former personal assistant's (PA) accusations that she did not pay her salary. The assistant, who introduced herself as Michelle Pelongco on the show Raffy Tulfo In Action, claimed that Janella still owed her around P3,600 for 12 days of service, after she was asked to leave her job on June 12.
Michelle claimed that while she worked for Janella she was paid P8,000 a month, while other personal assistants were paid a much higher amount. "Noong pinaalis niya ako [noong] June 12, hindi niya pa po binigay sa akin...Kasi may sinabihan po akong handler niya po, 'yong kinalahati sahod ko, biglang sinabihan ako na umalis na ako."
According to the Raffy Tulfo In Action YouTube page, their team reached out to Janella, and the actress's handler said that she would get back to them. However, they weren't able to get a response.
Today, July 8, Janella wrote on Twitter: "[This is] the only time you are gonna hear from me about this PA 'issue.' Have a great day, everyone."
"Thank you for your sweet messages. I really don't believe I have to defend myself because trial by media is not the appropriate venue for this. If you really believe in your own lies and I really violated something, sue me. If you're gonna twist the story in a desperate attempt to get money from me...sorry, hun. 3.6k is small and I would gladly give it to someone who deserves it. Not worth my time."
She added: "We are literally still going through a PANDEMIC and our press freedom is in danger. Next."
