After almost 10 years of being a GMA-7 artist, Janine Gutierrez signed a contract with ABS-CBN on Friday, January 15. This move confirmed weeks of speculation after the 31- year-old actress was spotted in a meeting with Kapamilya executives. This big network switch came in after her sweeping acting awards for her thrilling performance in Babae At Baril in 2020. On Instagram, Janine posted pictures of her contract signing and simply wrote, "Hello Kapamilya."
Janine's boyfriend Rayver Cruz, a longtime ABS-CBN star who moved transferred to GMA-7 in 2018, couldn't help but post a sweet message of support for her. Prior to Janine's contract signing with the Kapamilya network, Rayver wrote on Twitter: "Soar high, my love. Will always be your number one fan."
One of Janine's upcoming projects is the release of her romance film Ngayon Kaya with Paulo Avelino. The movie was originally supposed to be part of the lineup for the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival in 2020, but, according to Paulo, it is now slated to be released in March or May this year.
