JC Santos has apparently been planning to leave his artista life in the Philippines for Australia for a while now. In a report by PUSH, the 32-year-old actor spoke in a virtual press con that he had planned to migrate with his young family because work in the pandemic hasn't been all that stable for him.
"Nasa line up ko pa rin siya just in case, kasi matumal ngayon," he said. "Parang mahirap talaga ngayon. Kumbaga, maraming plans of shooting pero wala actually nangyayari minsan. Tapos minsan, nauusog dahil sa mga protocol."
Although he couldn't give a definite answer on when it'll happen, he did say: "If ever, hindi pa alam kung this year or next year. Eventually, we'll see."
JC is married to his childhood sweetheart Shyleena Herrera and they have a two-year-old daughter named River. Migrating to another country actually isn't all that new to JC because he had dreamt of living abroad since he was younger. You see, JC had worked as an OFW in Singapore and Hong Kong as a performer for Universal Studios Singapore and Hong Kong Disneyland respectively. It was in the latter where JC had planned to stay permanently.
"Ako nagplano na akong tumira sa ibang bansa, as in nag-decide na akong mag-stay sa Hong Kong kasi akala ko mag-aasawa na ako noon," he said. "I was 25 then and eventually may nangyari. Tapos nanaig yung pangarap. Plano ko nang mag-stay doon na parang hindi na ako babalik ng Pilipinas kahit kalian…Mabuti na rin lang hindi natuloy. Buti na lang din hindi natuloy."
JC is starring in a new movie alongside Yassi Pressman titled More Than Blue, which is actually an adaptation of the 2009 hit Korean film of the same name. More Than Blue drops on Vivamax on November 19.
