After announcing their separation earlier this year, Jennica Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco are working on patching things up. Last night, Jennica revealed that she and Alwyn are talking about possibly getting back together. "I am very thankful to Jesus because...he heard my prayers, he gave me what I was hoping for, for Alwyn to come back for us. He expressed his desire for family restoration," Jennica said during her interview for 24 Oras' "Chika Minute."
What happened to Jennica Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco?
Jennica penned a letter to parents on Instagram amid breakup rumors in April, reminding them that self-love is not selfish. The pair have two kids, Athena Mori and Alexis Severina. Jennica's other posts appeared to insinuate feelings of pain, fear, and uncertainty, and she mentioned words like "heartache," "sadness," and "brokenhearted."
Soon after this, Jennica confirmed that she and Alwyn had broken up after seven years of marriage. During a 24 Oras interview in July, Jennica said their relationship started having problems in March, adding: "Now that I'm a single mom, I have to think of a lot of things that I wasn't thinking about before. Iba kasi kapag mayroon kang katuwang sa buhay, you have a partner in life, sa biglang solo parent ka na."
Jennica and Alwyn did not reveal the cause of their separation. Alwyn wrote lengthy messages for Jennica on Instagram, apologizing and expressing his hope to patch things up with her.
However, Jennica's mom Jean Garcia called him out multiple times by leaving comments on his posts for allegedly not replying to her messages and for causing her daughter heartache. The actress repeatedly asked Alwyn to respect her as Jennica's mom.
