Jessy talked about finding the right workout that suits you.

In her latest vlog published on May 2, Jessy Mendiola opened up about her weight loss journey.

The actress revealed that her weight issues began in 2016. She said, “That time, I felt so strong, I was really active.” There was even a time that she would gain 10 pounds in a week and lose it all in one week. Jessy revealed that it’s always better to lose weight slowly compared to fad diets.

Jessy talked about her insecurities which she has always been open about in her Instagram posts. In the past, Jessy was insecure of her thighs and arms, as well as talking and engaging with people. She said, “When people bashed me, naging insecure ako.” She later revealed that she turned to binge eating and bulimia. Jessy added, “Mental health is such a big aspect when it comes to your health and lifestyle. Hindi lang 'yon sa diet and workout, it’s a holistic thing.”

She continued, “Sa sobrang insecure ko, nawalan ako ng mga trabaho, kasi lahat ng mga trabaho ko, tinatanggihan ko kasi ayoko magpakita.”

Since then, Jessy shared that she began searching for the right workout for her, and the sport that she fell in love with? Muay thai.

“I fell in love with muay thai and that’s where I started to lose weight and become healthy,” Jessy said.
