Ji Chang Wook recently wrapped up his successful K-drama comeback Melting Me Softly, and it looks like the South Korean entertainment industry missed him just as much as we did! The actor is reportedly already in talks to star in a new drama called LUCA or Last Universal Common Ancestor.
According to Soompi, Chang Wook was offered to play a role in the 12-episode drama which will be aired on tvN in early to mid-2020. His agency, Glorious Entertainment, confirmed the rumor and released a statement, saying, "It is true that he was offered a role in LUCA. He is reviewing the offer."
LUCA will be directed by Kim Hong Seon and is "based on Charles Darwin's proposition that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors."
Ohhhh, a sci-fi drama + a swoon-worthy oppa? We're so here for it!
Chang Wook was discharged from his mandatory military service in April 2019 and has been super busy since then. Apart from starring in the hit drama Melting Me Softly, Chang Wook was recently spotted hanging out with Heart Evangelista in a luxury brand event in Singapore. He's also set to visit the PH in 2020 for his fan meeting tour!
