According to a report from ABS-CBN News, Jo is among the new batch of inductees at the 14th Eastwood City Walk of Fame, where he was given a star along with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Rachelle Ann Go, Edu Manzano, Alex Gonzaga, and Nanette Inventor, among others.

In a separate report by Push, Jo also made a P2 million donation to the non-profit group, Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, Inc., also known as Mowelfund, after he received his Walk of Fame star.

Federico Moreno, the head of the Walk of Fame Foundation and the son of the late actor German Moreno, said, “My target was one million for Mowelfund. We have about $30,000 from Jo Koy Entertainment. So that’s about P1.5 million.”

Jo added, “And then I told my manager and my agent that they can’t work with me unless they put money in so we added another $5,000 from Arsonhouse and another $5,000 from CAA. So that’s $40,000.”
