March 7, 2021 Update: In a report by PEP, John Lloyd Cruz said he doesn't have any public social media accounts and that the quotes were not from him. The Facebook account pretending to be John Lloyd (which had a "verified" checkmark from FB) has since been deleted.
It's easy to interpret the dialogue between Julia and Joshua as the closure they both needed from each other—especially with their stellar performance plus the fact they had written the script together. Although Moira recently shared that the closure was for her 2020 album Patawad, that hasn't stopped any of us from feeling for JoshLia—hurting for Joshua, who plays the injured party in the music video, and understanding where Julia’s character is coming from.
The story of the "Paubaya" music video seems to have struck actor John Lloyd Cruz, too. The other day, JLC took to Facebook to pen an open letter for Joshua. He wrote, "One day everything will fall into place just the way it should be. So until then, don't focus too much on the confusion. Just focus on improvement and betterment. Create a great life for yourself." He then tagged Joshua and capped his post with a photo of them side by side.
John Lloyd recently ended his showbiz hiatus, which began in 2017, shortly after dating actress Ellen Adarna. JLC and Ellen reportedly called it quits in August 2019, but they’re raising their son Elias together. Ellen, who just confirmed that she's seeing Derek Ramsay, revealed to Preview.ph that she and JLC "weren't compatible," that’s why they broke up.
