So, what's Mount Jiri about?

According to Soompi, Mount Jiri is a mystery drama that'll focus on "the people who climb through the mysterious and unexplored regions of Mount Jiri, which is the tallest mountain in mainland South Korea." Mount Jiri will be written by Kim Eun Hee (Signal, Kingdom) and directed by Lee Eung Bok (Descendants Of The Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine).

Who's starring in it?

Ju Ji Hoon as Kang Hyun Jo

Ju Ji Hoon starred in recent top dramas, Kingdom (2019) and Hyena (2020). For Mount Jiri, he will be playing Kang Hyun Jo, a mysterious military academy graduate who finds himself working as a new park ranger in Mount Jiri.

Jun Ji Hyun as Seo Yi Kang

Mount Jiri is Jun Ji Hyun's highly-anticipated drama comeback after 2017's Legend Of The Blue Sea. She'll be taking on the role of Seo Yi Kang, the top ranger of Mount Jiri National Park.

Oh Jung Se as Jung Goo Young

After his critically acclaimed performance in It's Okay To Not Be Okay (2020), Oh Jung Se will play Jung Goo Young, an "extremely practical engineer" who believes in saving himself first in order to save others.

Sung Dong Il as Jo Dae Jin

Veteran actor Sung Dong Il, well known for his roles in the Reply series, will be Jo Dae Jin in Mount Jiri. His character is one of the heads in Mount Jiri National Park and has been "a ranger for half his life."
