Judy Ann Santos was named as the Best Actress for her lead role in the film Mindanao during the Gabi ng Parangal of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019!
Aside from Juday's recognition, Mindanao also won 10 other awards:
- Best Picture
- Best Actor - Allen Dizon
- Best Director - Brillante Mendoza
- Best Float
- Gender Sensitivity Award
- Best Child Performer - Yuna Tangog
- Best Sound
- Best Visual Effects
- Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award
- FPJ Memorial Award for Excellence
Juday expressed her gratitude through an Instagram post, featuring a photo captured by her husband Ryan Agoncillo after the 45th MMFF awarding ceremony.
Last month, Mindanao also bagged awards at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival. The film received the Best Artistic Contribution award, while Juday received the Best Actress award.
Looks like 2019 was a great year for the Queen of Philippine Soap Opera! Congrats, Juday!
