During a press conference for the film, Director Jason Paul Laxamana noted that he was really impressed with Julia's professionalism and her willingness to do what the script required. "She really loved the script and with all fairness to her, as a professional actress, she didn't want to limit my creativity and my vision. So kung ano raw yung requirement ng script, 'yon and dapat gawin ko."
Julia, who turned 22 years old this year, added, "At the end of the day, that's my job. It's part of the job, and it was needed in the script. If it had not been done. the whole gravity of the situation wouldn't be the same. It wouldn't be as impactful, it wouldn't be as faithful in the end. It wouldn't show any side of intimacy, love, or care for the person... At the end of the day, we're actors and it's what we're asked to do... It shouldn't be an issue, even."
Well, What was her "baba" Joshua Garcia's reaction about the scene? Julia answered, "I don't think napanood niya pa... [But] alam niya 'yon. Siyempre alam niya 'yon. I think, noong nalaman niya, he accepted it. Actually, sa kanya mismo nanggaling yung ina-acknowledge niya yung fact na pareho kaming artists sa industriya na 'to at alam niya na darating yung time na kakailanagnin namin gawin 'yon."
How profesh, right? Julia mentioned that she also talked to her mom Marjorie Barretto and to her management before doing the scene.
