The actress recently revealed that her trip was for “self-love, self-care, and self-discovery.” She says, “As soon as the plane took off, I cried for a while because I knew I was getting out of my comfort zone. It wasn’t easy but I knew from that moment on, I had to let go and surrender. It was time to prioritize my well-being and my own healing. I’ve always been the girl to put the people I love first to the point of almost losing myself in the process. I knew that I needed to gift myself time and space and rediscover who I really am and who I want to be.”
Julia thanks her mom, Marjorie Barretto, for supporting her soul-searching journey. Marjorie was anxious for her “clingy child since birth,” but she says, “As hard it is for me to let go, I know it’s for her best. My heart is so happy seeing you so free. I can almost hear you exhale.”
Julia says, “May this year be the year of getting out of our comfort zone, surrendering, and most of all living.”
